Here's the first birthday card for the busy month of September!! I have about 6 more cards to make, but I think I am off to a solid start. *fingers crossed*

Happy 1st Bday!
August Baby Shower
I had to make so many birthday cards for August that I ran out of time to make this card before my trip! I had to throw it together this morning before my friend's shower. Thanks to my embossing powders and my Cuttlebug, it turned out pretty well for a last minute adventure!

Just another August birthday...
I was in SUCH a ruch to finish this card that I messed up on the sentiment. When I type a message in Word, the program automatically capitalizes the start of each new line. I have to go back & fix the lines that do not need capitalization. I accidentally uncapitalized the 'M' when it needed to be capitalized. Oops!! I didn't realize it until it was too late...blah.
Happy 11 months, babe!
I bought my hubby a cheesy 'Best Husband' oscar souvenir when I was in LA. I thought it would be cute to make a 'star' themed card to accompany the gift. My original plan was to sneak into my hubby's office & leave the stuff on his desk, but the office was locked all week...so I just gave him the gifts on our '11 month' wedding anniversary. Happy Anni, honey!

A quickie wedding card...
Due to an overwhelming number of birthdays this month and my crazy travel schedule, I got behind on my card making. I got back in town late Friday night & headed right back out of town early Saturday morning for a day trip. When we got home, I was left with 20 minutes to make a card for my friend's wedding!! It usually takes me AT LEAST 45 minutes to make a card...sometimes, it takes hours! Sooo, I was extra surprised that I was able to crank out a card in 20 minutes. I would have loved to spend more time on the card, but I think it turned out pretty cute for a rushed, quickie card!

For my niece...
It takes me so long to come up with an idea for a card & get it made that I usually run out of time. That was exactly the case with my niece's card! I had to get it finished today, so I rushed along. It's not my best work, but I'm pretty sure my niece won't care...she's only two, after all! I really love tri-fold cards...I just wish I would have had more time to make this card a little better.

A card for my BFF...
My best friend LOVES getting my cards. He usually displays them in his kitchen or saves them in a box. I like making cards for him because I know how much he will appreciate them!
**Fun fact: You can 'pet' the puppy! I used double sided tape & brown flocking powder on the pup. Flocking powder is a fluffy, fuzzy powder that you can actually pet once it's set! I bought a package of 4 flocking colors for $1 at Michael's. I think flocking powder might be my new favorite thing!

August Bday #3
I wanted to do a quick & simple card for my friend's upcoming birthday. I used my Cricut to cut out the phrase 'Happy Birthday' & then embossed it with my Cuttlebug. I added a button & some ribbon, along with the flowers & bam! Card is done! Easy, peasy. I just need to type out a sentiment to glue inside the card & this card will be on it's way!
[You can't really tell from the pictures, but the paper inside the card is green with white dots to match the ribbon on the outside.]
